Since Warner Bros. has recently registered the trademark of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, rumors have not stopped spreading and fans began to wonder more if there will be a movie adaptation of the play, Cursed Child. The possible movie looked even closer when ComicBook.com published the news that Hollywood sources claimed that Warner Bros. wanted Daniel Radcliffe play the key role for the film.
Insider from Warner Bros Clears Minds for Now
However, a source close to the Harry Potter franchise has quashed the rumors confirming that there are no plans yet for an adaptation movie, according to Huffington Post. Warner Bros insider states that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play, and there are no plans that there will be a movie.
Although Daniel Radcliffe says that he would not mind returning to make a new movie for Harry Potter, it seems that fans of the series are going to be disappointed for a while. Warner Bros. does not intend to continue the stories of the wizard boy Harry on the big screen.
Good thing is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trilogy starring Eddie Redmayne is still to hit theaters. The first of the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts movies, set in the magical world, will be in theaters on November 18.
